Date: June 16, 2018
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT
Event Description:

Sue Jarosh will be here to share her 2nd book about the Door County Lighthouses. Sue Steckart Jarosh grew up in DePere and spent many summer days at the family cottage in Jacksonport, Door County, WI. She attended St. Norbert College and graduated in 1967 with a degree in Elementary Education. Sue and her husband, Joe , were elementary teachers in Dubuque, Iowa. They spent summers in Jacksonport, in Door County, where they operated Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts from 1984-2015.

Her first book, Door County’s Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Mouse, published in 2017, was inspired by her work as a tour guide at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse Museum in Peninsula State Park. Her second book in the lighthouse series, Baileys Harbor Range Lights Rascal, was recently published in 2018. The story is about the Range Lights in Baileys Harbor, WI., and the Larson family who actually lived there. The story is fictional but the book includes historical facts and photos from the time the lighthouse was in operation. Sue’s digitally altered photos provide the illustrations.
