Join us for the YP Awards Luncheon on Wed., June 19, where we will honor our YP of the Year, YP Friend of the Year, YP Business of the Year, and YP Pathfinder of the Year.
You will also hear from our keynote speaker, Rick Dickinson, President & CEO of Greater Dubuque Development. Rick will be sharing, "Small things have BIG impacts." Becoming a leader and making an impact doesn’t just happen, there are challenges to be faced along your journey. Hear Rick's story on becoming a successful leader through taking on challenges, big and small, and still having fun along the way.
A native of Sabula, Iowa, Rick is a graduate of William Penn College with a degree in business and history. He served as a city council member before being elected to the Jackson County Board of Supervisors for six years. Rick served as the mayor of Sabula from 1978 to 1992. Still a councilman in April 2010, he was re-appointed mayor to fill the vacated position until the general election in November. From 1990 to 1994, Dickinson served in the Iowa Legislature as the representative for the 34th House District. Dickinson has also served as president of the Dubuque Racing Association. He became the president and chief executive officer of the Greater Dubuque Development Corporation in 1995.
